About

Frida is a UX/UI and service design strategist specializing in civic tech, EdTech, and scalable digital products across public and private sectors. Originally from Mexico, she brings a cross-border lens and experience spanning education access, financial aid, logistics, and digital platforms. She led the redesign and product strategy for UnderstandingFAFSA.org at the Center for New York City Affairs, partnering with advisors and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end UX solutions from research and service blueprints to design systems and shipped tools.
Now I’ll say this in my own voice (plot twist, it’s me) I’m the kind of designer who makes the behind-the-scenes of a service actually work. That means aligning departments, translating user insight into product decisions, and building measurable, usable systems. I blend participatory research, systems thinking, facilitation, storytelling, and UX/UI to turn complex processes into clear digital experiences. Trained at Parsons School of Design (MFA, Transdisciplinary Design), my work has been exhibited at World Design Capital, IBM Quantum Labs, Milan Design Week, and recognized by Graphic Design USA.
